Privacy Policy

This page is maintained by DocketClose LLC to explain how we handle information collected through the DocketClose platform. It is not legal advice. If you have questions, email support@docketclose.com.
Account Creation
When you create a DocketClose account we collect your name, email address, and a password (stored only in hashed form). You may optionally add a phone number and profile details. This information is used to identify you, send transactional notifications, and let other parties on a docket know who they are working with.
Property Listings
When you list a property, the information you enter — address, price, photos, description, and similar details — is published on the public listing page and may be shared on third-party sites by you or by people you invite. Do not include information you do not want to be public on a listing.
Messaging
DocketClose stores the messages exchanged between buyers, sellers, Realtors, and attorneys on a docket so the conversation history is available to authorized participants. Messages are visible to the parties on that docket and to DocketClose staff for support and abuse-prevention purposes.
Documents
Files uploaded to a docket (contracts, disclosures, inspection reports, etc.) are stored in our cloud database and made available to the parties authorized on that docket. Documents are not used for advertising and are not sold.
Notifications
We send in-app notifications and emails about activity that affects your docket — new offers, messages, document uploads, and milestone changes. You can adjust notification preferences in your account settings.
Email Communication
We use email to deliver transactional messages (account confirmations, password resets, transaction updates) and occasional service announcements. We do not sell your email address. You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails using the link at the bottom of those messages.
Data Storage
Account, listing, messaging, and document data is stored in a managed cloud database with encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Access is controlled by row-level security policies so only authorized participants can read or modify a given record. We retain data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to satisfy legal and operational needs.
Cookies & Analytics
We use cookies and similar local-storage technologies to keep you signed in and to remember preferences. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the platform is used; we do not run advertising trackers.
Sharing
We share information with the other parties on your docket (so the transaction can move forward) and with service providers who help us run the platform (hosting, email delivery, error monitoring). We do not sell personal information.
Your Choices
You can update or delete account information from your settings, or request deletion by emailing support@docketclose.com. Some records may be retained where required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons.
